Tribute to Pa Kgang Abel Motheane
By M. I Soqaga
Of course the world is reeling
with great grief, unremitting
tears
eventual proverbial pains of
the past
spawn from what can not be
usual
invariably startling and
dumbfounded
heartbroken because of sadness
He is declared deceased
in awe the world remains
shocked
not ready to accept the news
inevitable and unpalatable news
At his ripe old age constantly
revered
able to illustrate his awesome
skill
nothing will stop him
to produce such enormous work
of literature...
Today he is known as dead
tearful sad news of the past
since millenniums remain with
humanity
capable to trigger sorrow,
melancholic grief
compel perpetual emotional
mourning
He is today declared deceased
at his old ripe age
the earth can be proud to
swallow him
at a known last resting place
like in the beginning
when the womb concoct miracles
the beginning of blissful life
embryonic ecstatic blessings
but today the earth without
remorse
prepares to swallow him
so he can rest in his final
place
Pusillanimous callous earth!
do not rejoice, he is not gone
to celebrate him is ineluctable
humongous wealth of literature
produced by him will keep him
alive
awesome literary accolade
achieved at his old ripe age
intrinsically at 64 he got
published
death and earth can be proud -
but he is not gone!

A GREAT BARD GONE. WHAT A LOSS. R.I.P...
ReplyDeleteA GREAT BARD GONE. WHAT A LOSS. R.I.P...
ReplyDeleteExcellent, committed Bard indeed. What a loss for South Africa, and Africa
ReplyDeleteOne can only shudder at the loss of an elderly man who sacrificed himself for the pursuit of arts and culture; but at least his literary works linger on
ReplyDeleteThe great old man excelled in virtually every genre of writing, and in so many languages too!!
